why does my doctor ignore me

I'm 22 and i've struggled with my weight singe puberty. I have gained 30 lbs in the past 3 months. I have asked my doctor to help by giving my an appetite suppressant or weight loss pill but he never acknowledges me. I am eating healthy and exercising but not losing ANYTHING!! I have been tested for diabetes and thyroid problems but the tests came back normal. Why is my doctor ignoring my plea for help?

I have had this problem as well. I finally was able to get an answer from my doctor. She said that she will not prescribe these pills unless it is the last choice. Your doctor should, however, recommend other way to lose weight. My doctor told me to add more dairy to my diet (low fat, of course) and lift weight. That helped to kick start the weight loss. Good luck@
