...shopping???? | | No, no not shopping. I'd rather run in a wet river and dive off a bridge into a revene. In these days and times my elusive husband has put me into a deep recession befor it even hits. I'd rather spend his (HA HA) hard earned money on a Neil Diamond concert ten fold and I did. He even drove me there and was happy to do it. So much less pricey than the mall since OKC has a law against scalping. One hr befor the concert we got 3rd row front center for $125.00. WOW what a bargin. So do you like to shop? Would you choose Neil. Interested in your response. Thanks. Have a great Thursday.

jordan04n (370) | 8 months ago | I would definately pick ya up but I am in Memphis. I do have friends there though. I've been gone for a while missed you...what is up with you. Moving..relocating....troubles follow humans around...no one is immune. I always told my daughter that suffering was good for the soul. It brings one closer to God. In times like these I read and read and read. I bury myself and soak in words of comfort and pray. Keep in touch. The best for you...hugs...

keymandan (741) | 8 months ago | Thanks for the best response, but life has a way of changing our plans. It goes back and forth, but for the time being, I guess I'm going to stay in San Antonio. I've got jobs, relationships with general contractors and customers, and I guess I'm not getting kicked out. Things were going well until my "friend" messed me up by being his usual unbalanced self. In front of my customer, and it ended delaying me getting paid. So, when my girlfriend wakes up to go to her job in about an hour, I'll have to deal with that.
Behind every monetary dispute between a couple, there are deeper problems. A man and a woman are never "meant" to be together if neither is willing to show true affection for the other when times get tough. And they inevitably get tough. The problem is that we like to play the blame game when it happens. Which only leads to more arguing, and increasingly bad feelings so that we lose our perspective. We forget that it is not about the money but it's about a lack of commitment to our significant other. To our mate. To the one that God gave us to hold and to cherish. It is one long battle, let me tell you. But worth the fight. I'll die trying.
You take care, Dan

jordan04n (370) | 6 months ago | Well, I think I have almost died trying. When thing get tough somehow we pull together for the betterment of family and couple. I guess being married 37 yrs is the test of time. I have learned to keep my mouth shut and walk away and appeal another time when cooler climate prevails. I have learned to pick my battles carefully and love in spite of external stimulus. Of course if it were easy would it be worth having? So we both work at our relationship. The alternative is scarry.

keymandan (741) | 6 months ago | I've completely lost track of our original discussion. Shopping? You have to have money to shop, and my finances have gotten skinnier and skinnier, even though I am working steadily. I'm not going to make it to my reunion, which is tonight in OKC. I know you are in Memphis, if I recall.
How we got from shopping to marital relationships, I don't know, but it is a lively discussion at any rate. "Marital" and "martial" must come from the same root word - "Mars", who was the Roman god of war. While I hate shopping with a passion (except for the grocery store), MQ wants to do some shopping for clothes, etc. We'll see. It all depends on what money comes in.
You are so right about a love relationship. Loving people, that is, two people who love each other, will work it out. I think I'll listen to the Beatles, "We Can Work It Out". And then I'll take a nap, and then I'll eat something. Life is so mundane. But it is there for all of us, if we will just embrace it.
Blessings, and may peace be unto you and yours, Dan

| | 5. Opal26 (9629) | 8 months ago | Hi jordan! I think that you did get a good deal on the 3rd row tickets! I think $125 for 3rd row even for Neil Diamond was a bargain, I guess! Me, I wouldn't waste my money! I do like him, but not that much to pay that kind of money that I don't have! But, if you do and like him that much then it's ok! I don't have money to go shopping either! So I guess that answers the questions!
