Neopet Map Pieces

Do you collect any of the various maps at the site? I collected all the PetPet Lab Ray ones without knowing that I needed the Secret Lab Map completed in order to use it. There are some pieces that are retired and some that are so high priced that new players break their necks trying to get them.
I have collected the Spooky Treasure Map and redeemed several times; never really got anything that warranted the price paid for the pieces. Now I just save them up and sell them off around Halloween.
I tried collecting the WC pieces but could never get all nine for any of the themes. They were supposed to have some good prizes so I guess I am missing out on that deal.

I have known a few people who were into neopets, but I never have been. In the spirit of waking this discussion back up, though I am here leaving a comment. I am guessing form what you have written that the collections happen at an online site. I thought that at one point neopets were in stores. Like your Lego quote, by the way.

I made the mistake of buying the spooky maps to complete it and never again the items and np aren't worth it so I'm just going to wait till the pieces turn up to do it again and just sell duplicates. I've completed the treasure map thanks to keyquest and scorchy slots and that paid out more and i got better items 2 neodeck cards black and pink backed and 3 other decent items.
I'm like everybody else trying to get the secret lab map completed and I've still got 2 pieces to get. I'm just hoping keyquest will give me them eventually as I don't want to spend any np as I'm saving up to get items from the queen faerie's shop for avatars

I collected them all and put them together to get lab access awhile back, now I just grab them and win them from KQ so I can resell them.

I ended up completing the laboratory but I stopped using it as soon as I painted my lupe Pirate. I didn't want him to lose his paint job. Anyway I thought the laboratory was great because it gave my Lupe so many stats. Unfortunately its stats became really unbalanced as a result and it took me a while to balance them up again.
