Favorite Patsy Cline Song |
|
What is your favorite Patsy Cline song and why? I sing and play just about all of her songs but I guess my favorite would have to be "I Fall To Pieces". I sing it the most often. It's just a good song. I tend to go to pieces over the least little thing sometimes, lol.

cyrus123 (1791) | 9 months ago | Loretta Lynn was the one who sang "You Ain't Woman Enough". It's possible Patsy could have sung it, too. I don't know.

cyrus123 (1791) | 9 months ago | Those are both good songs, too.
I like your name, "Snowqueen". Do you like the movie, "The Snow Queen"? I saw this at the theatre when I was a child. I understand that there is a newer version out now. I haven't seen it. Kathy.

cyrus123 (1791) | 9 months ago | I'm glad you like this song. I like singing it, too. Did you know that Willie Nelson wrote this song? Patsy didn't much want to sing it at first. She said "I can't sing that man's song!" I read the book on her life. That's how I know this. She also said it in the movie, "Sweet Dreams". did you see that movie?

cyrus123 (1791) | 9 months ago | Hi JABeau59! That's a pretty song, too. I sing it a lot. The only problem I have with it is I don't like the line "I should hate you the whole night through". I was taught not to hate people. I love everybody. I just don't always like the way they do. I don't guess you could sing "I should dislike you the whole night through". That wouldn't sound right. Happy mylotting! Kathy.

6. finlander60 (745) | 5 months ago | I am surprised that no one has mentioned my favorite Patsy Cline song "Just a Closer Walk With Thee." If you like Patsy Cline you might also like Cristy Lane. My favorite album is "One Day at a Time." If you try it, you will probably like it.

cyrus123 (1791) | 5 months ago | Hi finlander60! Yes, that is a beautiful song. I have a tape of Patsy Cline's songs and that one is on it.
I have also heard Cristy Lane sing "One Day At A Time". I also made a record of that song in 1977. It didn't get popular, though, I hate to say. I went to Muscle Shoals, Alabama and I recorded it at Fame Recording Studio. Muscle Shoals is about an hour and a half drive from here. You might have heard of it because a lot of famous stars go there to make records. I know Hank Williams, Jr. has been there several times to make records. Mac Davis has also made records there. The weekend before I went there to make my record, Bobbie Gentry had been there. That's to name a few. Anyway, I put "One Day At A Time" on the flip side. I wish now that I had put it on the first side because it turned out more people liked it better than they did the first side. I recorded this song for my grandmother because she liked it so much. She died in 1980. I recorded "Heart Of Gold" by Neil Young on the first side. This is one of my all time favorites. Neil Young wrote and recorded it in 1972 and I tried to bring it back. Like I said, I didn't have any luck with it, though. The recording engineer who worked with me said that it's very rare that the first record makes it with a new singer.
Thank you for your response and happy mylotting. Kathy.

finlander60 (745) | 5 months ago | For those of us who enjoy Cristy Lane and her music, I have a special treat for y'all. Read the book entitled "One Day at a Time." I read it several years ago, and if you don't get a lump in your throat, or tears in your eyes, check for a pulse 'cause you are probably dead.
