The Masters

Anyone who says golf isn't an exciting sport didn't see or appreciate The Masters last week. Did you see it? All I saw was the final round but I was on the edge of my seat on the last hole when it went into a 3 way tie. That was a lot of fun. What did you think? Were you as excited as I was?

I could tell you how excited I was watching the masters but I'm sure it would be a carbon copy of most responses. To really put it into perspective though, in Canada, the final round of the masters, especially the playoff, was watched by more people that weekend than the Leafs/Sens and the Pens/Canadiens on Hockey Night in Canada and was also more watched than the finals of the World Championships of Curling. Two of the biggest draws in Canada fell to the final round of the Masters. It was the first time in almost 35 years that a weekend program outdrew Hockey Night in Canada or the World Championship of Curling let alone both.

Now that's what I'm talking about. It's great to know that many people have good taste in sports.

I missed the Masters this year but I hear good things in the end. I am only 22 and I enjoy walking golf tournaments just as much as the caddies do. Of course, being female I am all about the LPGA and Wendy Ward. She is the greatest professional golfer I have ever met. She may not be on the top of the leader boards but she really does take the cake with her in person, down to earth attitude.
