Yesterday in news papers I read an article related to first season of IPL that no franchise was ready to buy or even bid for shane warne. Atlast jaipur bided for him and won the bid because no one other increase the bid. Their gamble paid up and won them the tournament.

Miracles like these do happen in this world. I too had felt really surprised when I heard this. But could not participate in this disuccsion because I was not here then. But I merely happened to stumble upon this discussion and could not help respond to this one. I will again say that this is no more than a miracle. But the miracle is still greater ahead when he won the inagural edition of the IPL. Those who did not bid for him initially, might have later regretted the decision. But I still cannot fathom the fact that why in the world this world-class bowler not bidded for. Who had doubts about his bowling abilities? All have seen it for years and years together. Still no one ready to bid means a really surprise. I am still flabbergasted. But anyways, one of my favourite bowlers did the trick for his team. And that's giving my unbounding happiness even after two years. I wish Warnie the best of luck.

Surprising isn't it and Vijay Malya must be very annoyed with himself that he missed the cheap buy for warne Indeed, what a buy he has been for Rajasthan Royal. I think he was not even considered for the captaincy too, GC Smith was the first choice but since he wasn't available for the first two or three matches, they went for Warne and he did an excellent job by converting the weakest team into a champion one! But, guess what last years finalists have lost their opening matches. Cricket is a funny game isn't it?
