What is your favorite Billy Ray Cyrus song and why?  

I have heard the song "Ready, Set, Don't Go" that he and Miley did together. I think it's cute, too. It reminds me of the way my daddy was when I started dating, lol. Kathy.

Billy Ray is a fun guy! I've seen him in concert at least five times. I used to be in his fan club and I went to the fan club picnic in 2000. He really is a trip, if you know what I mean! He kept us laughing so much! I went to the Choctaw Indian Fair in Philadelphia, Misissippi in 1999. There was a country music concert every night during the fair and I didn't know that Billy Ray was going to be there at the time. I got to see him then and I had my picture made with him. However, that whole roll of film didn't turn out! A few nights later he was in concert at Old York in Oakman, Alabama, which is a little community about fifteen miles south of where I live. I knew about this concert because I bought tickets way in advance. I got to go back stage before the concert and meet him. I had my picture made with him again and this one turned out! It's on my refrigerator in the kitchen. I got to talk to him a little bit but not much, as it was about time for him to go on. Anyway, it's amazing that I got to meet him twice in a week! I hope he doesn't think I'm following him, lol! Kathy.

What is the Choctaw Indian Fair? I just got my tribal papers this year. I am very tiny bit Choctaw, but I hope to have some time to explore that part of my heritage.

I like all of his songs, too, and I sing and play just about all of them, the older ones, at least, anyway. I do the same as you. I try to watch him whenever I know he's going to be on television. Yes, I remember the feud that he and Travis Tritt had. that was so tacky! I was so happy when they made up but it took me a long time to forgive Travis, though.

Yes, both Miley and Billy Ray are good, aren't they? He got quite a bit of criticism over "Achy Breaky Heart" back then but I'm glad it's all in the past now. I agree with you. I think all of his songs are good. He's a very good singer, too. I have a poster of him up on the wall back in my music room. Kathy.
