Had you ever been to Mayan pyramid?  | |  In Mexico, one of historical attractions from the past is the Mayan culture, their pyramids, villages. Had you ever been to those attractions, historical sites, and museum? I would like to make a trip to those places in the future too. I read books about them, but I need a fisrt - hand experience.

| | | | | | | | 1.  marguicha (3479) | 8 months ago |  When I went to Cancún, I also went for the day to the ruins of Chichén Itzá. It was awesome! I also went to Tulum, a site that is smaller and less touristy. I think both are important to visit. In my experience, It´s very important that you pay for a good guide. There are trained guides that know the history of the place (quite different from the guides they have at the tours where you pay fopr the package). It´s not THAT expensive nad it´s worth it.
