I am booking a trip to Venice soon and I am very excited about it! I have always wanted to go and now the opportunity to do so has presented itself which is making me so happy! I am only going for two nights but, when I visited Rome I only went for two nights and because I had a early flight there and a late flight back it felt like I had spen much longer there so I know I will be happy with this.
Have you been to Venice or would like to go or even like me, are planning to go soon? x

Oh wow, I hope you have a really great time! Who are you going to be travelling with?
Yes I have been to Venice - it is a beautiful city. It was so hot when I visited the city a few years ago during the month of July. I guess it will be a more comfortable temperature at this time of year though because it was a little too hot to enjoy it when I visited.
I think 2 nights is nice. And like you said, you will arrive early and leave late so it will probably feel like 3-4 days.

I really am excited! I actually am not going until more the end of year but, it will be cooling down again by then so it should be nice!
I think it is always best to do that shorter duration the first time you visit a city as then you can see if it is for you as then if you don't like it you aren't stuck there too long and if you do like it well you can always come back! lol
It will be me and my husband travelling so I look forward it so much!!

I want to go anywhere out of the US. I haven't been but with children it's so hard to fly, I think I need a pill to fly with them again!

I can imagine it is hard flying with children and of course to go to Venice from the Usa is a pretty long flight whereas for me here in the UK venice is just over a couple of hours away so not too bad!

My cousin use to live in Sisley and it took 17 hours to fly from here to there. They traveled with 3 children and it was very hard on them. I think I'll still have to wait about 13 more years when the youngest will be legal to move out or go to college.

I have visited beautiful Venice and think it is one of the best cities in Europe to visit. It is unique and seeing all the scenic canals will be delightful for you my friend. There are some splendid looking old buildings. It is fun to ride on the water bus. I loved visiting some of the outer laying islands like the one where glass is blown. I would love to visit Rome one day. Flights to Italy are cheap but accommodation is rather pricey. I hope that you will have a lovely time in Venice. This year I went to Cape Town and next year I hope to go to Vancouver. x

Oooh you sound like me always planning your next trip away - I know you love travel as much as I do! ; )
Yes I really cannot wait and I was debating about a trip over to Murano to see the glass being made but, I shall see when I get there! If you get a chance to do Rome then I would certainly advise it as that was a great city and one I would like to return to one day! x

I have been to Venice twice and I think it is a beautiful place. My first visit to Venice was during the carnival and it was interesting to see it all, but it was very crowded everywhere and I could only walk around very slowly. I decided to come back another time to visit the other sights and that was interesting, too. I like Venice very much and I enjoyed walking around in the small streets. It is very easy to get lost and that happened to me many times, but I managed to find the way back to the trainstation in the end

I don't think I have heard anyone say anything bad about Venice and the fact that you have been twice is testament to how nice it must be! I am so excited about it but, it is a long way off yet! x
