in the first place why did you get a dog if you really want to keep a neat garden?dogs are natural explorers.they will dig,run around,bite plants,and chase small animals.I think that if you are really into gardening,you shouldn't get a dog.I suggest you find someone who is crazy about dogs.also,dogs can even boost up the immune systems.keeping pets can help in maintaining a healthy immune system.

Why did you buy your dog at the beginning?

I don't think you should give your dog away...they are wonderful things to have in your life...I don't think they are bad for your health in fact i think the reverse, they help you build your immune system...being too clean is bad for you...your dog can be your best friend...
