It was touch and go for a long time with Gary & Carrie. They both love to play guitar til all hours of the morning which always meant lots of booze and smokes.
They tried everything you could imagine to quit smoking but after a week or two they would both fall right back into it.
They even stopped the guitar jamming and drinking in hopes to end their disgusting and costly habit. That did work so they started jamming and drinking.
My belief, as a ex-smoker myself, is that when you are really ready to quit you don't need a thing, especially if it costs you more than you were spending on smokes. When I quit I did it without anything and yet I had tried hundreds of times to quit.
Then they gave it one more go with some other product and they have been smoke free now for a year. Congrats to them both.
Is it your time to give up the smokes?

I completely agree with you. I had been smoking half a pack a day for a few years before cutting back to a couple smokes a day. I'd 'quit' several times - stopped for a few months, then started again. It was mainly a social thing for me because it gave me a chance to talk to friends during breaks at work and in between classes. Once I decided to quit for good though, it was easy. I never had any cravings or withdrawal symptoms any of the times that I quit or cut back. I don't think the majority of people really need any special products either, it's all a matter of your own will power.
