 Ahhh, Simon is that guy, eh? He loves to be a jerk! I love him.
I bet that he is probably a very nice guy away from the American Idol stage. They play his "character" up in the show. He will only usually say terrible things about a contestant when he can disagree with the other judges. Again.....a part of the show.
So, I love Simon Cowell.

1.  ScarletAlston (2326) | 8 months ago |  To me, its like he and Chef Gordon Ramsay were separated at birth. I love that Simon doesn't sugar-coat anything. If you sound like a cat in a blender in a thunderstorm, he is going to tell you...I also love that he does it with what seems to be no concern or remorse for what he is saying. He doesn't apologize even when people start crying and want to argue back..I love that guy!

 eichs1 (1306) | 8 months ago |  Yes, I do. There are songs I think a contestant is good but Simon thinks otherwise, or the other way around. Maybe it's a matter of preference thus the disagreement. But all in all, his fairness and straightforwardness really are the things I admire the most. I also think that his harsh criticisms are to motivate the contestants do better.

| 3. ORyansBelt2012 (2113) | 8 months ago |  The thing about Simon I just realized is this. He's also doing a show in the UK called Britian's Got Talent. It's where that Scot woman who sang so well burst on the scene last week. As soon as the Idol results show is over, Simon is in a limo heading to the airport to fly half way around the world to the UK to tape the Britian's Got Talent show, then as soon as that is over he flies back here to be here by Wednesday. You notice Idol moved their show back from Tuesday to Wednesday this year? Or maybe it was last year. It's to accommodate Simon's travel schedule.
If I flew like he did as much as he did, I'd be grumpy hearing people sing like cats caught in the food processor too.
