We just got a new phone number and ugh telemarketers.

We just got a new phone number and more telemarketers are calling me in one day than our family members do in a month. Has anyone changed telephone companies or moved and got new phone service? Did you have a bunch of telemarketers calling you? It drives me crazy! How about you? It seems they know when it's the wrong time to call and they pick that instant to call. I am always saying no thank you and hanging up. If the same ones continue to call me though I am going to get a little mad. Like this one company calls me three times a day. I think that is harassment. What is wrong with those businesses computers? Do they like no. Most of the calls are from computers and not people. That irritates me even more. Do you hang up on the people or do you tell them not to call again?

Direct TV is the worst not only do they call a couple times a day they send me crap in the mail. I have told them and told them I don't want their stinking service. Drives me batty.

@mommaj I hear those cable and satellite companies are losing customers in droves to online streaming services. I can understand why they are better and cheaper. The cable and satellite companies are starting to get desperate. I have also heard they are going to go completely out of business in the near future.

@mommaj Direct TV is getting clever in their snail mail. They send me stuff that looks like a card in a enevelope ends up being more of their crap. What about I will never use you service again don't they get.

Wow! I guess that makes the owner really rich being persistent to the point of pestering lots of people. I get your point, but sometimes my heart goes to them (not with the robot) who are all trying to strive harder to have a better life for themselves and for their families.

I think it is sad, because the owner isn't the one getting yelled at by the customers the owner is making these telemarketers call. I know it is hard for the telemarketers too. It's not fair to them to have people answer the phone yelling at them. LOL

I have gotten so tired of answering the phone and fighting with them. Now I let the answering machine take the call and they always hang up, they never leave a message.

Letting the answering machine pick up just to have them call back annoys me even more.HEHEHE. I swear most of them are computer generated and they call like three times in half an hour if you don't answer. I may just have to turn the phone off so I don't hear it ring and let the machine get it. Not a bad idea. My hat's off to you.

I don't have a new phone number, but I do get calls from telemarkers. I have learned to either not answer the phone, or just hang up. Don't talk to the person.
