What is your favorite all time wine  

The only kind of wine I have EVER liked is Boones Farm. . LMAO. NO JOKE, at all. I've tried MANY other wines, and I just couldn't like them at all! They're all disgustingly bitter to me. I'd rather have a mixed drink or some sugary wine.

Gin is my favorite. I don't know it is a wine or not but I have had it once and it was 4 pegs. I was tumbling all day from morning till the night!

My favorite is red white. Type of wine would be Merlot.

Merlot is a principal grape in Bordeaux' St. Emilion district. Recently Merlot has become popular as a varietal wine in California, and several wineries in the north coastal area produce superb bottles. Generally Merlots are softer(less tannic) than Cabernets and therfore mature earlier. They are excellent companions for the same dishes as Cabernets.

I like German wines although they're more expensiveand tougher to get in Pennsylvania where we have state stores that have a problem with something called VARIETY.

German wines are mostly whites made with the Reisling grape. The same grape hst been transplanted to California and elsewhere but the resulting wines are nothing like those from Germany.

To get a good German wine ou have to avoid the "cheaper" stuff like May Wine or Leibfraumilch. There a few keys to reading a German win label to look for. Tapfelwein (table win) is the lowest grade of German wine. You want to avoid that and look for "Qualitatswein" or better yet "Qualitatswein mit Pradikat" (Qualitywine with pride) which recently was reclassified "Pradikatswein". Higher quality semi-sweet wines have term "Kabinette", "Spatlese" or better "Auslese". (Those terms combied with the terms "feinherb" or "trocken" ar dry wines.)

The area where a German wine comes from also matters and is usually on the bottle. Generally wines from the "Rheingau" or "Mosel Saar Ruwer" sections of Germany are considered to be the best. You also need to look for the Reisling grape name on te bottle since there are other white grapes grown (some of which are inferrior) plus also German red wines (although those are usually made in other areas of Germany.)

Yellow Tail Shiraz is my favorite all time not expensive drinking wine. I have had better and worse, but for everyday I love this wine. I have found a shiraz I like better called Rojo Mojo, but it is more expensive so I don't buy it, because there is no reason to spend more.
