Laptop to LCD TV ...HDMI to HDMI ...expensive HDMI cables?

I want to connect my LCD with my laptop and as far as I have found the best way to do this is HDMI to HDMI ...and now that Im looking at cables on ebay there seems to be a very wide price margin for products seem to be almost the same... Could someone exaplain all I should need to know about this please?

I have watched a program on CBC marketplace pertaining to this issue. Their findings, and the expert tests, show that inexpensive HDMI cables work just as well as the expensive ones. When you buy expensive HDMI cables, you are paying for the marketing and store mark-up. Check out the portion of that program here:
