|  Has anyone ever become frustrated with myLot?
I can definitely say, I have. :-)
It seems as though almost every time I am right in the middle of adding my input in a post that something happens and I have to start all the way from scratch. I am not having connection problems, so that is not the issue. :-)
Have any of you ever had an experience with myLot that seemed to disturb you? :-)

| |  From time to time I have had issues with this site, and it can be quite frustrating for sure. Sometimes it might just be you have too many windows open that is creating the problem, or depending on where you are at, and how many people are in your area accessing this site, it could be that as well. Just don't give up... I usually find it does go away in time for sure.

| |  Yah, that has happened to me lots of times before. I will have some huge thing typed (a few sentences) and all of a sudden it refreshes the page and i am left with a blank square. I have pretty fast internet (comcast digital cable) so its not my connection.
i see the screen lag, look at the tab that I am on in the top, see the (refreshing) symbol...and go, "ahhh f**k

| |  Oh-uhh...i thought i am the only one experiencing it! My pc's on a router so i just come to accept the fact that three people using it at the same time slows down the connection. Well, now i know i am not alone! The first time that happened to me had me so frustrated because i spent almost thirty minutes gathering my thoughts, typing, rephrasing and editing four paragraphs then all of a sudden the page just went blank! Just imagine how i reacted to that! It has taken me quite a hard and long time digging up my English and carefully putting them together then the words just disappeared!!!
I learned my lesson from that very first moment so now i always make it a point to check if the connection's working properly and when i'm in doubt i copy my "composition" by writing it on a piece of paper that i always have ready nearby.
Hi LaSenyoraSilis! Glad you brought this topic out. Mow we have a club for frustrated ones like us! hahaha!

| |  well it happens to everybody here. I learned a small trick from all those experiences. Whenever I start a discussion after finishing the typing part, i immediately select the content (ctrl A) and copy that (ctrl C) and then submit the topic. If something goes wrong with the site or with my connection, i still have the content with me right. Whenever i get the site again, i just paste. Till that time, i will not copy any other content Lol...I follow this ever for some paid to post site too

| |  I have experiencing the same thing with you. Sometimes it happened multiple post accidently because we thought it was an error so we post it again. I have ever seen some content management system that can prevent the user from multiple post on a same text or content. So i think mylot's admin should use the same method for their user's convenience. Multiple post on a same time is also kind of bandwidth wasting. I hope mylot's admin read this post and will upgrade their posting script. Thanks anyway for sharing this good topic. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

| |  I haven't had this problem with mylot but I have in other sites. I've written a long response on another site and it has just disappeared. I got so angry I nearly smashed up my computer. If you arent having connection problems have you done a virus scan lately ? I cant really think of any other reasons for this to happen. Maybe the site is updating or something. Does it happen at the same time of the day ?

I havent been a member of myLot for a long time as I am sure you would notice from the number of postings I have done so far LOL. But ... here is a thought ... if you experience this a lot of time, then one of the thing that you can do is write your posting in Wordpad (at this point I am assuming that you are using Windows Operating System). You can then copy and paste your posting from Wordpad to myLot. I dont know if this helps but if I start experiencing the problem you have just mentioned then this would be the way I do it ^^.

| | Hahaha, yeah I realised that I could only copy and paste around 50 letters if I did it using the method suggested earlier but I still prefer that over typing everything all over again ^^. Sorry I did not tell you about that part earlier and yeah I realised that as u mentioned if I were to copy a lot more stuff then I have to at least reach that 500 rating. Thanks for the feedback though hehehe.
