After my surgery last year, I have been diagnosed with HYPOTHYROIDISM, it's a health condition wherein the person has an underactive thyroid. Unfortunately this affects a lot of body functions. My doctors say that this one is easier to treat compared to Hyperthyroidism. I was happy to hear that. BUT the worst effect it had on me was the weight gain. I got depressed. I chose the people I go out with because I hated hearing comments like, "You gained so much weight!" or "What happened to you?!? You're so fat now." I grew tired of answering their questions and explaining what I went through and what I'm going through. Right now, I am in the process of losing weight. It is not easy, but so far, everything seems to be doing okay. Do you have a thyroid disorder? What are you doing to maintain your weight?
