Do you always soak your laundry before you wash them?

I always soak my laundry first, before i wash them. I believe by that way, we are able to remove those unwanted smell and stain from our laundry. I usually will soak my laundry for a few hours before i started to wash them. Care to share your laundry experience?

I usually soak the items that I will be washing by hand, which these days are not very many. My washing machine has a cycle which prewashes things before the proper wash starts and I usually make use of that without soaking things before I put them into it. If a certain item of clothing is particularly dirty then I would soak it first but that doesn't happen very often as recently I haven't done anything that has got my clothes dirty and I haven't spilled anything which has marked any garments either.

Yes, if you don't have any very dirty clothes, then it's not necessary to soak them. I need to soak my laundry because my toddler's clothes usually is very dirty. As he likes to eat by himself and likes to play outside the playground area..

Nope...I don't soak my laundry before putting them in the machine for wash. I just put them all in the machine and start the washing process. laundry is done when the laundry basket is 1/2 full as there's only my husband and me so there's not much heavy load unless we come back from travelling.

No!In our home,we directly soak the clothes in the soap water(in the washing machine),allow it to soak for more than two hours and wash it.Then put them in the spinner and rinse the clothes with adequate water.Later,we dry them under sunlight thereby getting rid of any smells.Cheers!

Sometimes, i also do that way. It's quite convenient and time saving when we direct soak the clothes in the washing machine. Thanks for sharing your washing experience..

No, I don't usually soak my clothes before I wash them. To tell you the truth, doing laundry is one of my least favorite chores to do. It's such a time consuming process. I will put it off until I have to do it, and then I try to get it done as quickly and efficiently as possible. If I do see a stain, I will pretreat it with shout or spray-n-wash, or even just full strength detergent right into the stain, but that's about it.

Yeah, when i was young, i also didn't like to do laundry. It's a time consuming job. I ever use those full strength spray wash to treat the stain. But, i discovered that i tend to spend more money when i am using them..So, i prefer to soak my laundry first, only when i am unable to clean away the stain, then i will use the full strength spray wash..

I don't soak my clothes before washing, but I use a washing machine, if clothes are pretty dirty or smelly I put it on the longest cycle. If there are spots I apply some detergent or prewash stain remover before they go in the wash.
