I saw a tree sneeze on the way to work today

This was absolutely the strangest thing I think I have ever seen... This past weekend was horrible for people who have pollen issues - fortunately it doesn't bother me. EVERYTHING was green. I was going to wash my car, but it would have been green with pollen before I was finished. Today on the radio, they were talking about how bad the pollen was. Then, I'm driving along and all of a sudden I see this green fog kinda break away from this tree. It honestly looked like the tree sneezed all the pollen off. None of the other trees around it had that happen to them, and it wasn't windy out or anything. It was truely the strangest thing I've seen.
I feel really bad for people with allergies right now because I know that they've got to be suffering.

Wow! That created one of the most interesting mental pictures i have experienced lately! I wish I had seen it myself!
I do suffer with allergies and go out some mornings to see pollen covering everything like yellow dust!
Maybe it did sneeze... or mabe the squirrels sneezed!!
I probably would have sneezed!!!

Yeah, there coulda been some squirrels in the tree, I didn't even think of that. It was just pretty funny to catch it, although driving through it was kinda gross...

lol! I would sit all day and replay that picture in my mind! That had to be great!
I guess there could have been several birds that flew off at the same time too or something!

It is bad reiny. I am one that has allergies. It's really bad around here. I live in the country with many trees. I go out sometimes and my truck is totally covered with a yellow dust...pollen. It looks like my truck was parked outside a chemical plant all day, lol.

They ALL look like that around here today! The stuff is just EVERYWHERE!!!! I'm so glad it doesn't bother me though, I know these people have to be suffering.

I usually have very mild symptoms, but this year it is bad, and it started back a month or two ago. I also got heavily exposed to a lot of second hand smoke plus heavy cologne, and that started me off on a downhill spiral.

I have heard it is an especially bad year for allergies. More than half of the people I care for have had some issues with allergies. With one it became a serious infection. All I can think of about your sneezing tree is that some critters had a confrontation and shook the branches, causing your atomic cloud of pollen.

I saw your other response and I hope that you aren't doing too awfully bad. I think I might be affected a little by it this year. We just had a week or so of rain so that's helped, but my eyes have been pretty itchy.

LOL--that must have been a funny sight to see! I've had allergy problems I think since I was born...LOL. Every year it seems to be worse for me...my worse symptom is feeling dragged out tired. I don't take meds for them due to the side-effects, but will use nose drops that help a tad. The funny thing though, is that I'm a photographer....my specialty? Nature....

Hey reiny! That is funny! Maybe the tree did sneeze! Maybe
it was allergic to it's own pollen too! I am allergic to
pollen, grass and bushes! When they cut the grass where I
live I can't take it! I love the smell of freshly cut grass,
but it makes me cough, sneeze and cry! Having allergies is
no fun! I hate when the pollen count is high! I don't take
meds for it because I take enough meds as it is! I don't
suffer as badly as some people do thankfully! But, it can be
annoying! I can just picture the tree sneezing and it really
is funny!

It did look very funny! I laughed the whole way to work. I'd never seen that happen before, although I know it was happening all weekend. There's no sense washing the cars right now, it's just going to get all green again!
