AARP is sending me member information. Should I join I'm not even 40 yet? LOL

I probably get just as much spam as the next person when it comes to emails. I just keep receiving AARP membership information. Is someone trying to tell me something? The type of day I am having I am going to sign up and see if I qualify for their life insurance. Seriously. I did have a bad day. It wasn't too bad because hey, it's over now. IF ONLY they would stop sending me AARP memberships!

I never signed up for AARP. I should have when I turned 50. But I never did. I am thinking about it.

I think it is a good idea. From what I understand you get all kinds of deals and information on different products.

@inertia4 Is it free to join? That is the one thing I didn't pay attention to. LOL

@mommaj I know. My mother belongs to it and she gets discounts on things. Sounds like a good deal. I will look into it.

AARP is great IF you're a traveler who spends lots of time in hotels and eating in restaurants otherwise it's simply a waste of money. I paid $13 a year for several years and never once found something to fit MY lifestyle, I don't travel.

That's interesting. I had no idea. I looked at the cell phones that AARP supposedly recommended. I thought they were outrageous. I can't imagine paying so much money.

Yeah, they don't seem to be worth half what they charge for membership unless you plan on traveling a whole lot @mommaj

@rebelann That's good to know and not very useful of them. Not everyone that retires travels.

I am 26 and I get something from them about once a month. I haven't tried to join yet, but I say go for it. The worst that could happen is they tell you no and the best that could happen is they stop sending you stuff until you qualify. :)

I hear they have some good insurances so hey if they let me join maybe I will qualify for cheaper rates because of my age. LOL

One time I was joking with a friend online saying how I feel old. After I said that, I got an email from AARP. Lol I told my friend that I'm not old yet.

That's funny. I think they have ears everywhere. Be careful of what you say. LOL
