| Help! My Spiritual life has gone off... | | | | Recently, I have been struggling with maintaining my spiritual life. All of a sudden I feel so tired, worn out and feel like i haven't accomplished anything. I pray at least twice or three times a day. I read my bible at least two times a day but still I feel spiritually dry. When I went to church on Sunday the pastor talked about birthing out our miracle and one way to do that was to know God not just about him. I am desperately trying so hard to spend as much time with God and I feel like he's not there anymore.. I know he's there but I cant feel him. I dont know what am doing wrong.. I just confess my sins daily and i praise him and thank him everyday but still there is this utter dryness in me and i cant figure out whats wrong.. I just need some encouragement or some words of wisdom or if you have been in the same boat as me how did you sort it out?? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | How much time do you spend listening to inspirational Christian music, this always helps me to hear God when he is talking to me. Just this morning I had in How Great Thou Art by Alan Jackson from his precious memories album As soon as it started I looked up to see a beautiful dog wood in bloom and all I could think was what a wonderful sight it was. If you listen to the song it says just that. Oh lord my God Consider all the worlds thy hands have made I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder Thy power through out the universe displayed then sings my soul my savior God to thee how great though art, How great though art Repeat And when I think that God his son not sprang sent him to die I scarce can think of it that on the cross my burden gladly bearing he bled and died to take my sin away Chorus When Christ shall come with shout of acclimation and take me home what joy shall fill my heart then I shall bow in humble admiration and then proclaim My God How great though art. it also seems to me that you are not getting what you need to out of your church, have you considered going to a different one and seeing if you can find what you need else where. As Christians we sometimes get caught up in what church we are a member of and stay there as it is tradition, it is where our parents went, or we have been members there for a while, but if the church is not feeding you (so to speak) like you need to be then you may need to consider a change. | | | | | | | | | | The Church Jesus Built What happened to the church Jesus began? | | You reside in UK? I heard that a lot of people there are already non-believers. This fact can be very influential. Anyways, although I'm a believer, I can say that your spiritual life will help or inspire you someday but you don't have to worry about maintaining it. The spirit will always remain there - a spirit for change, a spirit for unity, a spirit for compassion, etc. In short, just live a good life, and the spiritual life that you're craving for will just come naturally. | | | | | | | kdmlrys (257)
