Training a Dog Tricks   

For Roll Over, take a dog treat & place it near the ground/floor. When the dog sniffs it, rotate it around & usually the dog will follow it falling onto the ground/floor. Continue the rotation until you've made a complete circle. Do this several times until your dog gets the idea. Soon you won't need a treat to get the trick done!!!

For shake, take your fingers & tap the bottom side of his leg near the joint next to his foot. He will automatically pick up his foot. Grab his paw, shaking it as you say "Shake". Do this a bunch of times close together. Eventually,he will get the idea. Of course having a little food reward helps them learn faster.

I've never tried to teach a dog to play dead. Only guessing, get him on his back & start by teaching him to stay. Once he learns "stay", you could then change the command to dead. Eventually, you could teach him that when you shoot him with your finger, he is supposed to fall down, roll over & be dead. Like I said, I've never done this one, so that is pure speculation!!!

I'd give clicker training a go if I were you, it's a great way to teach any new behavior.
