Associatedcontent pays in two ways. The first way is it pays upfront for you articls. The second way it pays is by page views. I make two dollars per one thousand page views but this depends on your clout level. Since my clout level is the highest level which is a ten I make the most that I can in page views. My advice is to write as many articles as you can.

I love Associated Content and they have a few ways to earn.
Of course, the best way to earn easy cash is the up-front payments. When you submit and article that qualifies (almost anything except poetry, editorials, and a few other things DON'T usually qualify...) they will pay you a determined amount such as $3.12 or $2.98 or whatever they decide to offer. You can accept that payment if you'd like and you will be paid and published within just a couple days after it's reviewed, payment accepted, etc.
Also, they have performance pay, which is page views that someone else was explaining.
One thing I like to do every few weeks is to search for articles that interest me and write a quick and friendly note to the source/writer letting them know I enjoyed their articles and have subscribed and added them to my favorites. I also ask that if they have time, would they please look over mine also and perhaps add me to their favorites.
Since I've been doing this I have had a significant increase in page views.
Another suggestion is to write often. You can make decent supplemental income with Associated Content (AC). You can write reviews of products, movies, music, etc; poetry; submit photos and make slideshows... There are many ways to contribute. I have many articles and quite a few slideshows. Slideshows are only paid by page views, but you can attract many viewers and add to your earnings.
I hope this has helped you find more ways to earn more money with AC. My name on there is Bethany Marsh if you'd like to look me up, and I would be happy to add you and look over your articles to help you get more page views. Best wishes!

Hi Keasling, Associated Content has very simple payment method.
For those staying in the US, they are eligible for upfront payment. The payment amount differs according to the categories posted and the writer's experience. New writer gets lower than those with a lot of existing articles.
AC also pays page view bonus for all writers. For every 1,000 pageviews, the writer earns $1.50. It makes sense to write longer article. If 1,000 persons view your article which is 1 page long, you will earn $1.50. If 1,000 persons view your article which is 3 pages long, that will amount to 3000 pageviews, and you earn $4.50.
AC takes quite long time to review and approve articles, especially for new writers. You have to wait for 2 weeks for the first article to be approved.
