You Are There  

I would like to go be at that Motion Picture when they caught John Dillinger. Of course, I would have been in the crowd before being whisked away to today and I would have been dressed as a respectable 1930s housewife, perhaps hurrying home after spending a dime on watching the show. There are other places, maybe ancient Roman Britain or early Anglo=Saxon England, or when the Viking invaded or on my father's side, early Romania and the Ukraine back in the Early Middle Ages when the Hausa League was setting up trade there. It would have been exciting.

I agree with you about the sinking of the Titanic. I did watch the St. Louis Arch, the gateway to the midwest, being built in the late 60's. I worked in the downtown area which overlooked the work in progress. Wish I had taken photos of this historical site as it was being built. I was young and didn't think it meant much to our city. I was so wrong. I did visit the Arch once. The trams run up and down both sides, legs, of the monument. I got to the top and was scared to death, walked to the other side and went right back down. Once was enough for me!

yea sure the Titanic is fun. but i would like to go to wherever it was that Cleopatra was with her milk baths, or wherever it is that some desert place got totally covered by dirt. i think Egypt is cool.

Jack Palance (I think thats how his surname is spelt) and his Daughter later made a TV show called "If these walls could talk".

It went to a wall, and told of events around that wall. Lots of good history stuff.

What I want to know is that woman who was with Dillinger and possibly led to his downfall, was a police operative or whether she was just taken by his charms and had no way of knowing that the FBI would gt Dillinger. I think they made a movie about her, but not too sure and thanks for the best response.
