Amazing Grace, On the Wings of A snow White Dove, Cowboy Country Christmas, and old gospel music, like Go Tell it on the Mountian, Silent Night, Songs I can teach the kids that they enjoy. I love teaching my grandchildren the fun gospel kids songs and the stories behind them. It is so important to be able to do this.

Ferlin Husky was the first to record the song, "Wings Of A Dove". I think it was about 1959 or 1960. I remember it because it wasn't long after my parents and I moved in this house. I was seven years old. It's possible that the singers you mentioned recorded it, too, because it has been recordd by several since. I have the CD, Cowboy Country Christmas, by Michael Martin Murphy. It's good, isn't it? I especially like the song "Corn, Water & Wood". I like anything about Indians. Kathy.

It would be so hard to pick only five! I love all the old traditional gospel songs (especially bluegrass style) but one contemporary song that I truly love is "I Can Only Imagine." That song makes me want to cry every time I hear it. Four more picks off the top of my head: Lonesome Valley Walk Down This Mountain (Bebo Norman) Prove Me Wrong (Caedmons' Call--my favorite contemporary Christian group) Angel Band

I have so many favorites. That's the problem. You're asking for gospel songs, though. The first one would have to be "How Great Thou Art". I also like "Go Rest High On That Mountain", "Long Black Train", "Heaven's Jubilee", and "As The Deer Panteht For The Water". Kathy.
