Computer Camera

Ok I am just starting to get into all this computer stuff. Now my question is, with digital cameras being so popular and computer cameras being so popular why hasn't anyone come up with a program or a camera that does both? And if they have please guide me to it please. Thanks.

All web cams can be used to take still images, but the needs of a computer system are quite modest and a camera attached to a computer needs to be very small: too small to house the quality components used in even a phone camera.

Are you talking about web cams for computers and digital cameras?
Most digital cameras now-a-days can actually be used as web cams for computers. Mine is like that but, I don't use it as a web cam, I already have one for that.
However, I don't think you would find well known brands that do that. The feature isn't for mainstream so I guess you can find it with not-so-known brands which happens to be my camera (^_^")
