I just always felt weird about these to and I cant help asking the question. Now I knooow they grew up performing together and I knooow they have TONS of fans but isn't a bit strange that even as adults they still are stuck at the hip. Isn't normal at some point to want to break away from your family and do your own thing?? You this this with bands breaking apart and becoming solo or working on other projects, what is their schtick. I also saw them being interviewed on Larry King and it was like watching a married couple!! I see codependency while America sees America's Sweetheart but hey, if Woody Allen can marry his daughter--I just dont know.

you know I kind of got that question in my head watching them together but it is hard to say, I guess it is possible for them be to be close but they defenatly act like a married couple.

I heard her in a recent interview talking about her kids and it was news to me--guess you just have to be in the know cuz I grew up in 80s and I don't know anything about them except that they perform together and are right up there with Bob Barker.

Like the last poster said, I think it comes down to the fact that they are famous as a duo. They have fans that love them together as they remember them when they were younger. They want to recapture the great memories Donny and Marie brought them as children/young adults. Some families stay close. Donny and Marie have about a million brothers and sisters. Ok, not a million, but they have a really big family and are said to all be very close. To add to the last post too, Donny Osmond and Marie Osmond both had seperate careers during I think the 80's and 90's. Both Donny and Marie had their own (I believe successful) albums released seperately. I am not old enough to have grown up with 'The Donny and Marie Show', but I do remember the albums they released each on their own. I remember there was a few songs from Marie's album and one from Donnie's that I liked and all of them played seperately on the radio a lot. I think since I am not old enough to have 'Donny and Marie Show' memories I have more memories of them seperately, since they had seperate careers when I was growing up. Now about Woody Allen and his adopted daughter. Well, that is just wrong, even if they weren't related. Now you can be close to your family without being that close. It is good to be close with your family, but wrong to be that close.
