| | If I am right to assume you do mean Rock And Roll, then no, I don't think it is too loud or noisy. Rock and Roll can mean different things to different people. For example, look at The Rolling Stones. They are rock and roll, but are in no way loud and noisey. Some people would consider the likes of The Offspring as rock and roll. They are slightly noisier. Then again, you also have the likes of Elvis Presly. He was rock and roll too. It all comes down to the individual who is listening to the music. Older people seems to like things like Country and Western (I know that's a stereotype, but its for comparison). I myself don't consider my taste in music as rock and roll, but some people might do. | | | | | | |

| | People have changed and so has the music. So I don't blame your grandparents for considering this particular genre noisy. The music they might have listened in their time and age might have been radical or noisy for their grandparents. So the transition for them might be too sudden that they fail to appreciate rock-n-roll. Try making them listen to Jazz or country. Maybe that will change their mind. Cause I believe that there is a slight hint of rock-n-roll in Jazz, and Country music too. | | | | | | |

| | Jazz & Country came before Rock n roll, most musicians that played Rock N Roll were Country & Jazz musicians originally. Obviously there's blues in there too :) | | | |

| | Rock 'n roll is evil and is the work of Satan. Surely all that listen to it's evil messages are in danger of hellfire. | | | | | | |

| | Hmm Well me I really like rock and roll. Try listening to Lamb of God. They are really loud and they are really good in playing. I really love their song Laid to Rest. You should try listening to them if you really like rock music. | | | | | | |

| | The definition of Rock n Roll seems to have become diluted, I've always seen it as a term to describe the music of the 50's. Artists like Elvis, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly etc But it's now used to describe such a wide variation of music so the music of most eras will appear load to older people, as it tends to be a lot heavier than the era they grew up in | | | | | | |

| | Good day, rocketsky. Well, I like rock music especially the heavy metal type. Others consider it only as noise but for me, it is the best because of the instrumentals are very nice and when the artist growls in metal music. I hope I can growl too. And in adlib, when the guitarist do tapping and sweeping, that was great because their fingers are fast in "breaking the neck". This is my response, happy mylotting..=) | | | | | | |
