slipknot Vs Metallica

I personally like SlipKnot I like the older Metallica but not their newer stuff! But Slipknot Rocks!

Why compare the two bands anyway? well if it's your taste, no problem. Slipknot and Metallica is not on the same genre, got it? And labeling one drummer as the best drummer around is so over-rated. Most guys who comment like this are not real musicians. Having fast hands only doesn't make up for who rocks more than who. No offense man, just want to have a better, more intelligent discussion about music.

I would say that I like the older Metallica. After Reload, I can't really tolerate listening to them anymore. I like Slipknot, however I must admit that the only reason why I started listening to the band in the first place was because the lead singer is also a member of Stone Sour and I really like their music. I wanted to see what differences between Stone Sour and Slipknot were. Slipknot is obviously heavier and not nearly as melodic as Stone Sour but I still like it. The singer is awesome.

I can honestly say that Slipknot is better than Metallica hands down. Even though their older songs are more preferable than their new ones.

in all fairness they have different styles of metal you cannot really compare them. but joey is very talented he has to keep the beat for 8 other guys. they are insane live. i was there the year slipknot played download, and joey helped out metallica by playing drums for a few songs because lars was sick. it was the coolest most awesome set!! i love corey's vocals i love his other band too stone sour www.stonesour.com

i applaud james hatfield he is like and older dude but he is still rocking out better than all the youmg kids out there, he is awesome and truly loves their fans. their songs are iconic and i grew up on them, they are one of the reasons i morphed into a metalhead. since you love metallica have you checked out a band called trivium www.trivium.org/ they are totally like metallica you can tell that they are their idols but they are good. they burst onto the scene when matt heafy was only 18, man thrash metal has a new face, a young one.
