Why is throat infection not curing without taking antibiotics?

To say "All the time whenever he gets throat infection"... How often does he get them? Giving small children the same antibiotic repetitively isn't healthy for them, especially if the family already has a history of related allergies., such as penicillin. Without much more information I cant really say anything more about it, sorry.

Consult a good doctor first. Those doses should be very light,as he is just a small kid.Antibiotics do effect all of us.. It has plenty of side effects.It even affect the adults. So,those doses should be prescribed cautiously.
Try to treat your kid,with honey and Balsam leaf.Take a teaspoonful of honey and one balsam leave,and give it to your kid,early in the morning in empty stomach. it will take time,but he will get better.

If the antibiotic stops the sore throat, then it is probably a bad infection. Even though it isn't good to always give antibiotics, if it is a strep (sp?) infection and you don't give the antibiotics it can infect the heart and that can cause serious heart problems. My dad had it when he was a little boy and he had a damaged heart from it.
But something you can do is to make sure and give your son probiotics from the health food store (even drugs stores carry them now) and make sure he gets yogurt. The antibiotics kill the good flora in his tummy and the yogurt and probiotics will grow new good ones. The probiotics are about 10 times stronger and quicker to replenish the good bacteria but it is kind of pricy.

It might be because the throat infections are viral, and not bacterial? Antibiotics won't work on viral infections. It's a shame your doctor doesn't seem to know this, as I thought it was pretty common knowledge.

I don't think it is good to give antibiotics too often but if the doctor is precsribing them then hopefully he is doing it because the child absolutely needs them. You might want to ask the doctor if that is the only remedy or is there soemthing else you can try. I did that one time with my daughter and he did give me something I could try at home with the recommendation to come back if it did not work. It did work and we were able to avoid antibiotics that time. After the antibiotic treatment you could then follow up with probiotics to help replenish the good bacteria that was lost, as the antibiotics kill off the bad as well as the good flora.
