2.  Jennlk84 (2271) | 8 months ago |  When I'm out and about I'm almost always wearing shoes. The only time I don't is if I'm at a pool or if I step outside on our patio/porch area. Otherwise I prefer shoes. In the summertime I enjoy wearing flip flops. So basically shoes but as little coverage as possible. I don't want a hot foot! haha

I just went riding today, as a matter of fact. I volunteer at a therpeutic riding center here in Jasper once a week. I'm on the drill team out there and we have lessons once a week. Those of us who volunteer get our lessons free of charge. I plan to do a discussion about therapeutic riding one of these days when I can think of what to say about it.
I have a horse here at home but he's not broken to be ridden yet. I'm not going to keep him, anyway, because he's a little too unpredictable. My nephew gave him to me. However, he and I both now realize that he made a mistake giving me that horse because he's kicked me and knocked down a few times.  Not all at the same time, though. He (my nephew) is going to swap him out for an older horse as soon as he can find one suitable for me. He (the horse) is a little stud colt and this makes a difference.
I had a horse that died in 2007 that I had raised from a foal. He was 34 years old! Two months later, I had a dog that died that would have been 12 in November of that year. Tumbleweed, the horse, died in June of that year and Aurora, the dog, died in August. You can imagine what a rough summer I had!  Kathy. | |
