Happy Cinco De Mayo.... |
| |
| well it is May the 5th.... Cinco De Mayo... and they said with the swine flu scare that people may not be out celebrating it as much this year... do you think that is true? I dont see why not, and if there isnt a scare in your area why not go out and have a burrito today!!! We have a Mexican town here in Detroit,MI... and I am sure they are going to be celebrating it today... I have never gone down to the festivities due to work...but my hubby said he will be home early today and we might be able to join in today... so do you have any plans for today?? | | | | | |

| | Cinco de Mayo is actually a Mexican holiday....not an american holiday but there are areas through out the US that have small towns like Mexican town.. etc... so they celebrate it in those towns.. it isnt anything major for the US but for Mexico its like there 4th of July. wow, congrats on the lotto ticket!! yay! | | | |

| | I have never heard of Cinco De Mayo. But then, I'm from Alabama. What is it exactly? It sounds like a lot of fun. It must be a spanish holiday since you said youall have a Mexican town and you said you were sure they were going to be celebrating. I also assumed this since you suggested going out and getting a burrito. We have mexicans in this town but not really a community. They haven't really been here that many years. We have quite a few mexican restaurants in this town now. Kathy. | | | | | | |

| | It is a Mexico holiday, not really celebrated through the US, unless you have a city in your state that is known as "Mexican town" like we have here in Detroit. The mexican restaurants are very busy this day....and its like there version of our 4th of July...it is alot of fun...but not highly publicized. | | | |
