I agree with you completely. With the exception of the occasional card for a very elderly aunt or someone in a position where I cannot speak to them myself, I never send cards for anything. Each year I have several trees planted on behalf of my friends and family, and they represent the cards I might have sent under other circumstances. Its beeter for the environment and I like to think that there is a tree out there that represents all my 'cards' from 10 or 15 years ago, still growing away happily and full of wildlife, rather than cards all sad and mushy in landfill

I feel the same way. I have my children make cards for family or for the parties that they are going to. They are really overpriced too!

it shows a sense of appreciation towards someone we love n care. it is not a waste of money.

No, not actually. Cards can tell a person how they feel about them or how much a person means to that person.

Sometimes, those piece of papers, on which some wishes are written are more than anything else in the world, so that neither the waste of money, not just a piece of paper

yes I do agree with you. I hardly ever buy one unless I'm giving someone money. Then i need something to put the money in. I cant believe how much they cost now, its crazy!

I agree. Its the thought that count. Sending them a card is like remining them to send you a card on your birthday. I just greet them happy birthday instead.

Birthday cards are not just paper. They hav esentimental value. So should be preserved.

Hi....I love making cards. I think it's a great way to really do something...I've attached here a little card I made for the coming Christmas. Check out my blog at www.scrapadoo.blogspot.com for other cards that I personally make. It's alot of work, but it's very fulfilling when the receipient looks at the card different from another normal commercial card.
