can anyone explain the climax of the movie constantine?

hi friends.recently watched the movie constantine .it was very good but the climax didnt make sense at all.gabriel made to look like villain and dont know wat happened to the son of satan?to me ever since constantine enter the big building for the final battle,nothing made sense.can anyone explain this to me?

The son of Satan (Mammon) wanted to get out.. so Gabriel asked him, yes Gabriel was the villain, which is why God stripped him of his powers and made him human. Mammon can go into our world through Angela's body, a psychic... which is why Gabriel had the Spear of Destiny to open up Angela's stomach and free mammon.
