Will any of these get you banned from Google Adsense? | | Hi all, I'm working on starting a google/adsense blog with links to all of my Triond, Bukisa, Associated Content, and eHow articles so that I can better promote them. I have a few concerns...
1) Since this blog will have links to my articles, will this result in me getting banned for i.e. excessive linking? Or does that not count?
2) Regarding web traffic... Is it okay if I use like auto surf/traffic FIRST before I sign up for google adsense just to get some hits going and then take my site off auto surf and sign up for adsense? Will that work?
3) I plan to promote my blog on sites like delicious and furl and reddit, etc. I'm not posting every single blog post on there, but I just plan on posting a single post regarding my blog on each social bookmarking site, that's it. Is this still spamming?
4) I know they have an issue with link cloaking. If I use something like Linkbucks or Linkbee, that would get me banned then?
Thanks.

Google is very strict about things like this, and it has a way of knowing the monkey business you are trying to do, so better forget it. You either be very honest with your site, or get another advertiser.

handsomeitaliano (723) | 7 months ago | Are you positively sure about that? Okay what about letting people know about your blog on social bookmarking sites like reddit and furl? I mean how the heck else are people going to go there if they dont know about it and how the heck are they going to know about it if you can't say anything on social bookmarking sites? That doesn't make any sense.
All that aside, so I'm assuming google will not ban you for doing all of that as long as you don't sign up for adsense, right?
Is there any program like adsense that has no problem with anything I mentioned?

To try and answer you questions
1) Nope that shouldn't get you banned at all - if you're just linking out to your articles (providing they are not spam sites etc) If, however, you're promoting paid to action (incentive) sites etc then yes you will probably get banned as that is against googles terms.
2) As far as autosurf etc goes - while you definitely can't use them if your site already has adsense on it - I can't see it as problem before hand. Having said that though, it's totally a waste of time. You need to concentrate on getting targeted traffic to your site rather than people visiting just cause they have to. Those hits really don't count for anything in my opinion.
3) Nope, not spamming - again only if you do it in moderation. Those sites are there for that reason - to share your posts with others.
4) I don't know of linkbucks etc but link cloaking is fine again as long as it's not a linkfarm or a #hidden# link - that is something that's only there for the search engines and visitors can't see it. Many cloak certain links - links that may point to affiliate products etc and that's okay - the links are visible to readers etc, they just don't show that it's an affiliate link - but still point to the actual page.
The bottom line with adsense is that if you just go about it honestly you won't have a problem. Set up your blog/website properly, that is good content, good relevant keywords and no hidden tactics and you won't have a problem

handsomeitaliano (723) | 7 months ago | re08dz,
regarding #1... Well those sites, Triond, eHow, Bukisa, and Associated Content, all pay you for many unique hits your articles get. So doesn't that fall under paid to action as you just mentioned? Or am I wrong?

re08dz (1099) | 7 months ago | Hmm - I'm not sure to tell you the truth. If it was me I'd err on the side of caution and not do it.
If you want to bring traffic to your articles on those sites you could instead stumble/digg etc a particular article. You could write a separate article related to whatever you have on one of those sites, link it to one of those articles and submit the new article to the many free article submission sites etc (ezine articles, go articles etc)
And then use your blog for new articles on a particular topic that's then set up for adsense or affiliate marketing etc.

| | 4. jpso138 (3423) | 5 months ago | Hi there, Here are my answers:
1) Since this blog will have links to my articles, will this result in me getting banned for i.e. excessive linking? Or does that not count? You will not be banned by google if you place your link on your article. In fact this is one way of promoting your blogs, articles with google adsense. For as long as you do not ask someone to click on the links as you write on your article. You may end up however getting banned from from some article submission sites. I am not sure but there are article submission sites that do not allow links in written article.
2) Regarding web traffic... Is it okay if I use like auto surf/traffic FIRST before I sign up for google adsense just to get some hits going and then take my site off auto surf and sign up for adsense? Will that work? Well, if you want traffic on your blog or website, you can use the auto surf and other surfing sites to gain traffic. But definitely you have to take out your adsense ads while your site is in rotation. You can then place back your adsense later on. This really works, I have been doing this and have definitely gained ranking.
3) I plan to promote my blog on sites like delicious and furl and reddit, etc. I'm not posting every single blog post on there, but I just plan on posting a single post regarding my blog on each social bookmarking site, that's it. Is this still spamming? There is no problem on that also. I have joined some adsense revenue sharing sites like xomba. At the end of each article, you then promote your article through those sites (furl, delicious, etc). Xomba is going until now and is very strong. This only shows that there is no problem.
4) I know they have an issue with link cloaking. If I use something like Linkbucks or Linkbee, that would get me banned then? This one I am not sure. I have not tried this yet.
You may want to right some articles on some revenue sharing site with adsense. Its all for free and you will definitely gain. You may visit my website on my profile and once you are there, just visit the ARTICLE WRITING PAGE, I suggest you start with xomba and hubpage. They do give me earnings with adsense. Well you can also check out some of the auto surfing sites that I have utilize. Simply go to the website promotion page.
One last thought... never write a blog or website about auto surf and paid to click and other similar articles and place adsense ads on it. This will surely get you banned from adsense. Goodluck and may you have more earnings to come!
