How did you potty train your kid?  | |  My daughter will be two in August. I know all kids learn at their own pace but I just want to know some different tactics to motivate her. I know everyone says to make a big deal when she actually does it, but how do I get the concept in her head so that she isnt scared of the toilet?

I knew it was time to potty train my daughter, who is four now, when she started taking off her pampers before I could change her. I got a potty seat and took her at timed intervals. Each time she went to the potty I put a star on this make shift chart. I even let her put the stars on the chart. She was really excited from there on out. I also recorded the times she went and I took her after each mean and certain times during the day. Your daughter will come around, the older toddlers become, the more independence they want- Good Luck

I try every 20 minutes and she will go an hour without peeing!! Then she goes in some corner when I'm not paying attention. I put fresh underwear on her afterward but cant seem to time her pee pee. | |

| MsBoomBoom (110) | 8 months ago | lol, I went through that two, then I started taking about 10 minutes after she ate and then every two hours. Finally, I started making her clean up her little messes. I gave her a some paper towel and a little bottle with warm water to wipe her accidents up, too. That helped a bit.
