the Lord Gautam Buddha is thought of as a reincarnation of Lord Krishna. Though born as a Prince, he renounced worldly pleasures and gave a new direction to humanity in peace and coexistence. I think Buddhism is the most peaceful religion in the world today. Sadly, anything peaceful is though of as being meek and Buddhism has not really spread the world over as it should have. Other violent and aggressive religions have usurped its importance and Buddhists are limited to a few countries only. Buddha Jayanti should be celebrated the world over and the teachings of Lord Buddha should be made available to all.

‘Buddha said, humans achieve emancipation by their own deeds’…Hindus believe that too. Pure Hinduism in monotheist in nature…believing only in the cosmic energy which is a part of each and every living soul. The aim of Hinduism is not to worship the pantheon of thousand gods and goddesses but to become one with the cosmic energy, the Brahma thru good Karma, continuous meditation and renunciation of worldly attachments and thereby release the soul from the cycle of reincarnation, which the Lord Buddha achieved…Nirvana. Wow! I did not know that Buddhists are the second largest population in the world…are you sure?

It's not true that Gautam Buddha is the reincarnation of Lord Krishna.Hindus think so.Lord Krishna is himself God.He came to the Earth as a image of a man to emancipate mankind from sin.But Gautam Buddha had not believe in God. Buddha said ,humans achieve emancipation by their own deeds.Buddhists are the second largest population in the world.I don't differ with your other comments.

The world is currently in the grip of divisive and separatism trend. We experience violences on the ground of religious fundamentalism, racial discrimination, caste and community related differences and what not.Individual ego is dominating over all lofty human values everywhere. There has been incredible deterioration of human values at individual and collective life. In the event of such wide spread crisis of human society,it is difficult to say where the world is really leading to.Thanks.
