Selecting a place for first date.

When you are going on your first date, it is quite important to spend maximum time with the other person and have good exchange of view on face to face.
So how will you select teh place for your first date?

for the first date I would like to choose the place like parks and restaurants where lots of people will be hanging around...

Well, but don't you think that if lot of people are hanging around then you won't be able to communicate freely....? Any specific reason for choosing such a palce?
