Do animals have sixth sense?

I overheard a conversation between a mother and her little son today regarding his cat. Haha it's pretty interesting actually, and CUTE! He said that his cat's whiskers vibrated when he checked on it before left the house. And he thought it could sense something bad was gonna happen. Like probably their house got robbed or it could be on fire! Hehehe I laughed a bit, but I thought it was cute of him being so concern about this kind of thing! Maybe his instinct is right? I don't know.. - I've heard before that some animals can sense disasters like they have a third eye or sixth sense. What do you think?
