Im finaaally ready to run out and get them. I just think the price hikes have gotten way to repetitive for me and I'm going to go out and buy the largest roll I can buy. Im not sure if you can buy them in rolls of 100 like the regular ones but if you can I will. If I cant Ill just frequent the grocery store until I get that many.

I dont think I am going to bother. I bought 2 books from the ATM (Because that is where I always get my stamps!) a few weeks ago. I still have about 1 3/4 books left! I hardly use stamps at all anymore. I have switched almost all of my bills into online and paperless. It is so much easier and I dont have to pay for stamps! Of course there are some things that I will always need stamps for, but I think it isnt worth stocking up. Unless you use them all the time, is it worth spending all of the money now? What happens if you lose them? What else could you be doing with that money that is just as worth while?

well I thought about it this way. What if you did not have the internet, or phone and how would I communicate with my family, just the same way we always have through the mail. I wouldn't want to wait for some scenario but if their was I imagine the price hiking would get out of control and Im not ready to solely rely on technology like that. Stamps I can put away in my closet and it goes nowhere and the value doesn't depreciate.

There is a risk with your theory as well. Those stamps are only valid for first class delivery with the United States post office. What if the post office was no longer around? What if they discontinued first class delivery? Those stamps would then be worthless. I am not trying to discourage you. I am simply trying to say that there is always a risk with anything you do. Even those stamps my not be the investment you think they are!

well then were in trouble, because If the post office goes we might find ourselves entirely dependent on technology and that I do not see very reliable, any other suggestions?
