What are the "getting-to-know" rules between boy and girl?

Hi there mylotters. I really need your help now.. I've been single for four years and throughout all those years i've been very busy on my priorities like studies and family that i set aside love life first. not that i don't care for it, but i really just want to make sure about a guy. now that i've it's been a long time since i haven't met a guy, may i ask everyone, what are the "getting-to-know" rules? because i really wanted to be certain with this certain kind of guy i have a huge attraction with and i don't really want to be hurt again. thanks. :)

I think the basic rule is that you make friends with a lot of friends with a lot of boys first and then see which one you have chemistry and compatible with the most and then try to link up with him but do not expect too much and try to get to know the person and try to explore every side that the boy have and see if he is your ideal character and most importantly do not show too much that you like the person and just drop hints now and then. It is basically a trial-and-error process. ^^
