We had broken vases. My mom taped the chipped off part to its vase. The tape has covered a big part on top of the vase. it does not that look good cause the tape was too obvious. But because thoughts that it was not a cheap vase that she must still use.

We had broken Art frame and had to tape its side too to the frame. WE had still lots of broken things and damaged things that we have not repaired and just have them in one stock room. we can't easily throw things. do you have difficulty throwing things out.

i usually throw broken and damaged things at home. I'm kinda get sick of seeing these junks. if these things are made of plastics or metals, i have sold to people who buy these stuff. my house isn't that big to accommodate the junks.i don't have them fixed since fixing here costs a lot. I'd rather buy new ones.

yeah it is not good to see those vases and other glass that has some chirped off side. like the glass for drinking water. should be thrown out. but people here like to save money and can't see get the to throw them . since they bought it i can't do any thing about it.

We always have broken things here at home. We try to fix things but sometimes what we have just is not fixable so we end up getting rid of them. Or at least, I'm the one that throws things away because sometimes, it's not worth keeping broken items around the house, especially if you can't fix them or if you have no plans to fix them either.

i can't understand people here. sometimes i feel that it is still usable but they will throw them. but some or many items are useless already and not worth keeping but they keep it. i just let them do what they want to keep and what they want to throw away.

Let's see:

1. I have a pressure cooker with no handle but still we are using it.
2. We have a cup with no handle but we are using a gum to fix a handle and using it.
3. I have a broken shoe but still I am using it.

Guess, that I am a miser person who doesn't want to spend much money on things at home. LOL!

Well, we had many broken things but we fixed most of them in last two years when we had a good financial situaion.

yeah my pressure cooker does not work too. but we still have it. only wrong with it is the rubber on the lid was loose when it fell off on the floor. but the metal are all perfectly well but we have no time to look for rubber replacement. so we just use it for cooking though not as a pressure cooker.

So, it is like a vessle instead of pressure cooker, Am I right?

Just one question, don't you think that pressure cooker is a good equipment for your kitcheN?

I do not keep broken things. There is a reason they are broken and they should all go to the trash bin where they can go back to their original form. cheers!!

it seem that all your things are all in good condition. i would like to have that kind of home where i don't have any room for junk items . i don't like seeing a room with a old things or things in not good condition but in the hope that they can be still useful in other ways one day that they are still kept in one room.

I don't think I can put my favorite things go to the trash bin that easy, especially some gifts from my family or friends, I still need some times to determine whether they should go to the trash bin or not. Have a nice day~

Yes, we keep some of broken things at home, but I often check them and don't want to keep too many for so long, if a broken item stayed at home for over 2 years and it still there unrepaired, I will throw it out as probably I will not repair it in the future. I only keep broken things that don't look so bad, if it broke so bad then I don't even think of repairing them.
My pug had torn my first Winnie the Poon doll from my hubby apart, I kept them and I sewed it back after I checked my broken things after 1 years it had been torn and determined to repair it.

Your mom sounds like my mom. Anything that was broke, she'd mend it with glue and she still does. For us, it depends on what it is and how valuable it is to us and how many pieces it's in is if we'll fix it or not. Other than that, we'll just throw it away. We try to use super glue so it'll hold but we don't always have it on hand.
