Customer Service

If I am greeted with a smile and a cheerful attitude this gives me a very favorable impression of a business and even if I can't do business with them that first time I will tell others and come back when I can.

I think it is when a person goes beyond the call of duty that makes the biggest impression. Yesterday we went to Applebees and the waitress was like a machine. She greeted us, took our order, sent someone to give us our order, and at the end asked if we were doing ok right before the bill. I had gone there a previous time and had this waitress who kept coming back to ask if we needed anything. She would refill our cups and gave me containers to put in left overs. I felt like she went out of her way in making us feel good about being there. I didn't even leave a tip yesterday. I got my order 10 minutes after my own kids had gotten their meal with no explanation, plus I had to ask for silverware as if she didn't know we'd need some..
