New power-ups

I used to play the Mario games as a kid and loved them and to this day i still do. My favorite things about the Mario games especially Super Mario Bros 3 was all the awesome power-ups you could acquire. I think the most unique one had to be the big shoe that he gets in or maybe the frog suit :D
It would be cool to see more unique power-ups in the game like for instance the ability to dig or something like that.
What ideas do you have for a new ability for Mario?

I don't know if I'd want Mario to do a lot of new things. I'm a big sucker for all the old stuff that Mario did. I prefer the old stuff because I think it reminds me a lot of my childhood and I loved playing Mario games as a kid. I really enjoy seeing Mario's old abilities on new systems because it's always interesting to me to see how they transferred from one system to another.

I know what you mean when you talk about childhood memories as the Mario games especially remind me of my youth as it was the first computer game i ever played :D
I agree that the old stuff is better than the new stuff that's out now cause they have made it more complex and strayed off the original roots that the older Mario games had.
Still Mario will always be one of the greatest games ever produced and hopefully then could bring it out on the Wii as a massive collection of all the old Mario games.
I don't own a Wii at the moment but if they were to make a Mario collection, i would definitely invest in getting myself a Wii :D

I dunno really. I think I'm in the same mind as you with the digging ability. That would be pretty interesting. Would he have a mole suit or what? lol I think Mario would be adorable in a little brown mole suit with large claws. That would be completely awesome!

Hehehe, Mario is a legenl. In super mario world 3, i like more of the wings he had gotten.
A power-up i was thinking would be a invisibility power hauehauhehaueha.

Super Mario Bros 3 is definitely the best Mario game in history in my opinion. Too bad the other mario games doesnt have similar gameplay nor powerups like it. By the way have you seen the power-up anchor yet on SUper Mario Bros 3?
