Selling landmarks what is California thinking?

So I know that California is probably one of the states in the worse shape right now due to many different reasons and they're trying to figure out how to fill their 21 billion dollar budget gap but should they really be resorting to selling off landmarks? I kind of understand selling the olympic games coliseums because at the moment I don't see what use it is really bringing and many countries have faced this dilemma about selling them but what about the historic buildings? There is a prison - which I think is being used, fair grounds, etc. I don't see the point in selling land especially when nobody can build anything in the state. Its just better to keep what is up up.

I can see what you're saying & I agree, no matter how much in deficit a state or country is in, they shouldn't sell historical buildings, etc. I agree with the selling of staduims that are no longer in use - unless they plan on bidding for the olympics again. If they sell historical buildings, they may regret it later.
