Is a In Ground Pool better than a Doughboy Pool?

I have been thinking about getting a pool for quite sometime and now that summer is right around the corner I am trying to settle on something. A in ground pool or a on top of the ground pool. I suppose an built in ground pool would last much longer, but maintenance would be more expensive. On top of ground/doughboy pools are smaller in size though and are the same depth all the way around. What do you think? In ground or Doughboy?

it all come down how much you use it,and where ya live.. if ya buy that 30,000 dollar inground and only use it 3 months a year like most people in north america i'd go above ground. but.. having an inground with a spa for the winter is very nice. even here in florida we can only use it according to the sun warmth april-dec. unless you pay a high electric bill for running the pool heater. but... you can always put in solar pannels for another 2000 grand and heat it year round.
