I posted a discusion asking specific questions about three specific sites. I got some very helpfull responses but this one person only reply with; I can help you make money. And something about a site that pays 1000's. This person probably did not even read the questions or just used my discusion to try and get me as a referal. I think this is absolutely low.... What would you respond to such a person. By the way, I gave a negative rating for inapropriate response.

Yes,you did the right thing to rate that fellow negatively, the ratings are for this purpose only,to get hold of spammers and keep the forum clean. Good job done, I do the same as well.

I can't imagine a site paying 1000's!! I thought we were suppose to help answer questions out there on my lot and not try to use this as a marketing tool for our own benefits!

Basically that is spamming, and I think your response was absolutely appropriate. I saw one person who had been replying to a lot of discussions filed under this interest, who was posting exactly the same text every time. I was tempted to write a nasty response, but then I couldn't be bothered after all. What bothers me too is discussion where people ask in all innocence about sites where they can earn money, which get responses from people not bothered about whether the site might or might not be a scam, main thing they get the referral. Maybe I'm too idealistic, but I don't think I would try to get referrals until I myself have received payout and can assure them than it really does work. Plus a warning that there is always a risk of such online warning websites disappearing without warning and possible leaving people out of pocket.
