did the selectors made a huge mistake by leaving out dinesh karthik from squad?

i am a fan of dinesh karthik and ofcourse one of the few guys who love to see him in the squad.ok now to the matter.i believe the selectors made a huge mistake by leaving karthik from the T20 world cup squad. reasons: 1.first,compare Dhoni and KARthik in this IPL. dhoni=340+ runs,karthik=270+ runs 8 dismissals,16 dismissals. ofcourse dhoni can bat at anywhere he want but karthik always at number 6. more importantly,he is the second indian player next to gambhir who shined for the daredevils in this IPL dont u think thats impressive? 2.u must have noticed that dhoni has this habit of giving his gloves to parthiv and he somewhere at mid on.just in case iof dhoni got his fingers hurt at the start of the tournament (very likely of the amount of cricket he plays these days and keeping is never an easy job),i dont see any other guy who can keep wickets.
