What products do you use to make chocolate milk?

If you don't buy your chocolate milk pre-made, what are some products that you use to chocolatize (hey, I couldn't think of a word! lol) your milk? I use a few products--Nestle Quick, Hershey's syrup, and Ovaltine, and I can't get enough of any of them. :D

I barely drink any chocolate milk, but when I get the chance, I either buy it as it is at the store, or use the Nestle sugar chocolate syrup to flavor it. I know it is unhealthy as most of it is just plain sugar, but it does taste good.

At one time my preference was the powdered Nestle's Quick, but my family prefers the Hershey's Chocolate syrup and besides it is a really good deal at Costco. My son drinks a glass of chocolate milk almost daily so i let him decide which one he likes best and that is the Hershey's. Very rarely do we buy already pre-made chocolate milk, maybe when traveling or a road trip we may purchase the single serve containers of chocolate milk.

Chocolate milk is also a part of my daily routine. If I run out of the powder or the syrup or milk, it's like I go into withdrawal symptoms. lol I'm addicted to the stuff.

I use he same products as you, but the best chocolate milk I ever had was sold at a bagel shop in Long Island, it was kosher and had vanilla in it! Vanilla makes chocolate milk awesome, so I even add it to brownie mix, and I make the best brownies.

My favorite is nestle quick. I think it makes the best chocolate milk. Hershey's syrup I put on my ice cream and Ovaltine it don't like at all. I use to like it as a child but I guess my taste buds changed.

Just tonight I had some chocolate milk and mixed Ovaltine and Hershey's syrup. It was actually pretty good; the sweetness was definitely enhanced.

Hi Cool...and it most definitely has to be Hershey's syrup. I don't think it could possibly be classified as chocolate milk if it didn't have Hersheys in it. The same with hot chocolate....I make my mix with Hershey cocoa mix and that is what I use. The stuff you buy in those little envelopes never taste much like hot chocolate and it never seems like you can ever get the right amount in it. So I stopped buying them along time ago and just made my own. flutterby

I love using the Hershey's cocoa mix as well. For the mixes in the little packets, I usually put in two packets worth in a cup. It makes it sweeter. :D

I used to like Nes Quick, but since a couple of years ago, it makes me sick. I am still able to use ovaltine though... Kind of reminds me of the commercials for that. Hehe.

Hi coolcoder, it tastes really tasty as well drink prepared from milk powder and cocoa powder as well as the required amount of sugar. I love hot chocolate milk so the above ingredients are added to a cup of hot water. Sometimes it's prepared from the mixture of milo and milk powder. We have all these stocks kept in our kitchen closet all the time. We have a couple of thermos flasks too. Therefore it's quite convenient to make my favorite chocolate milk at any time Happy posting

Hi, coolcoder. I use Ovaltine or Carnation Breakfast Essentials for myself when I want to make a chocolate milkshake. I also use Nestle Nesquik for my kids. I make sure that whatever I do buy, is very nutritious if possible.

I use Nestle Quick it the best to me. Funny as a child I loved Ovaltine now as an adult I don't like it at all. It almost taste like there is medicine in it or something. Hershey's Syrup I use only on my Ice Cream.

Mmm...ice cream. Once in a great while, I'll put some Hershey's syrup on my ice cream, but normally I just use it to make chocolate milk. Happy MyLotting! :)
