I normally greet as 'hello' when I receive a phone call. I think it is the normal way of receiving a phone call. Do you have a different way of greetng the caller when yu receive a phone call?

I also greet 'Hello' usually. This is certain in the case of landline. But in mobile, if I see my friend calling I'll greet 'Solra mapla' (Tamil)!

Hello is very common, so one point to "hello" from me ,too. In fact, i like the way Italians answer the phone; they say "pronto", means "ready" It means something like "yeah, i'm ready, say it" :)
